So 'berry' cute!

Well here we are at the fourth and final day of our May Sweet November previews and we have saved the sweetest Flitter Friend for last. :)

Just beyond the thorny vines of the raspberry patch are strawberry fields as far as the eye can see. The sweet scent of the tiny blossoms and jewel like red berries fill the air... take a deep breath... ahhhhh, delicious! A subtle movement amongst the plants catches your eye and suddenly miss Strawberry is flitting about around your feet in a joyful little dance. She may look like she is playing but Strawberry takes great care in turning each berry to ripen just so in the sunshine and instruct the bees on which blossoms are ready to be pollinated. Because she is such a sweetie, Strawberry is very generous in sharing her delectable fruit with anyone who visits the enchanted gardens. And if you bring some shortcakes and cream to share in return, you will have made a friend for life. :)

Ok, time for one last sweet candy... check it out...

The Strawberry candy kit includes; one Sweet November Flitter Friends Strawberry rubber stamp, twelve 6x6 sheets of paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win this candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to this candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)

The candies will stay open through Sunday, May 1st and I will announce the winners on Monday, May 2nd. And just so ya know... Sunday night is now the official release date for all of May's new stamps over at ATS!

Be sure to flitter on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs for some super sweet Strawberry goodness! Alice and Nancy have wrapped up this week of previews with the berry cutest cards and they are not to be missed!
Once again... instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun! :)

It's SOOOO juicy!

Welcome back for day three of our May Sweet November previews!

Can you feel the excitement in the air as we head back into the brambles of the enchanted gardens? That overwhelming sense of energy and fun radiates from the tiny little miss with a BIG attitude that runs the show here in the raspberry patch. Flitter Friend Raspberry is full of razzle dazzle and just like the berries that she watches over she is both a little sweet and a little tart. One minute she may be tickling your nose with a blossom and then, just for giggles, she'll back you into the thorny brier the next... ouch! But she is always quick to make amends by offering you her very best raspberries to snack on so it is hard to stay cross with this mischievous little fairy for too long. :)

And there is nothing but sweetness to be had in her Raspberry candy... see for yourself...

The Raspberry candy kit includes; one Sweet November Flitter Friends Raspberry rubber stamp, twelve 6x6 sheets of paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Would you like some Blueberry candy?

Hello and welcome back for day 2 of our May Sweet November previews!

Today we are still visiting the enchanted gardens of Sweet November Land and we have carefully picked our way out of the blackberry brambles to a less thorny area. In fact the rows and rows of big ol' bushes look to be covered in plump and juicy blueberries! And of course these special plants are carefully tended by their very own little Flitter Friend...
Look, do you see her? Flitting from branch to branch amongst the butterflies? Why it's Blueberry fairy! Miss Blueberry is quite dedicated to her berries and she always makes time to coax each and every tiny blossom to ripen into a delectable morsel that all of the inhabitants of Sweet November Land can enjoy. She may not be as flashy or outgoing as some of her sisters but Blueberry's quite way of tending her part of the garden suits her just fine. She truly is a little sweetie! :)

And she has some Blueberry candy up for grabs... check it out...

A 'berry' sweet preview

Good morning friends!

Are you ready to head back into Sweet November Land and meet a few more of it's magical inhabitants? This time we will be traveling through the wild wood and the mystical meadows until we reach the enchanted gardens where the most delicious fruits and berries you have ever tasted grow. These special sweets are tended by a dedicated group of little fairies known by all as the Flitter Friends.
The first Flitter Friend that we come across as we carefully make our way through the brambles is miss Blackberry. As you may have guessed, Blackberry is in charge of growing the biggest and juiciest blackberries you have ever seen. In fact none of them are deemed fit to eat until they have grown bigger than she is! This task is not all work and no play... not by a long shot! Blackberry has so much fun zipping through the berry patch weaving the perfect tangle of briers so that each and every berry gets just the right amount of sunshine. And if you look real close you can even make out different shapes that Blackberry gets the vines to create... she is quite the artist! :)

So you know that there is some sweet Blackberry candy up for grabs too... take a look...

The Blackberry candy kit includes; one Sweet November Flitter Friends Blackberry rubber stamp, twelve 6x6 sheets of paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Sweet November spotlight on Alice!

Hello, hello, hello!

Today it is my great pleasure to shine the Sweet November Guest Gal spotlight on a super inspiring card maker and Copic wiz... Alice Wertz!
I have long been a follower of Alice's blog and her sweet style of card making is a wonderful mix of clean lines and smart design that is also full of charm and heart. This is a style that can be hard to achieve that perfect balance between yet Alice makes it look positively effortless. :)
And while her cards may subscribe to the 'less is more' approach, Alice's skills with Copic markers are phenomenally expressive! I love how she gives each character that she works with their own personality with just a few swipes of the marker. She is such a talent and I am just thrilled to have her joining Sweet November for the May previews!

Now it is time for Alice to answer the Sweet November questionnaire... which is always so much fun! :)

1) What color do feel represents your personality and why?
Hummm... I think it's yellow. You know, kind of gentle (or I try my best to be) and patient (also try very hard to be).

2) Is your style of dress/ home decor similar to your style of card making?
Not really. Our home decor is mostly earth tones with cream back drop and decorated with two cats. =) Hubby lived in it for a couple of years before we met, but I am slowly filling it up with my crafty goodies. LOL! As to my style of dress, it's really t-shirt + jeans most of the time.

3) What one thing always puts you in a good mood?
Reading books. I love reading and I am not doing it enough these days.

4) If you could visit any time in history when would it be?

16th century England. All the dramas going on in the royal palace is kind of fascinating to me. The glamorous fashion of that time is also worth living and really hope that I would land in a slightly well off family. =)

5) If you were a mythical creature ie. fairy, elf, mermaid, troll, wizard, witch etc., what kind would you be and why?
A fairy! I am kind of curious about how wings work, plus it sounds kind of fun to be able to fly around at will.

Bonus question
6) If you are a fellow Gleek, which character from McKinley High do you most identify with?
Huh? =)

Now take a look at this fabulous card featuring Jessamine that Alice created. I fell in love with the strip of pattern paper against the kraft background and knew that I wanted to do the same thing. For my card I chose to use Princess Lillianne and besides placing her on the opposite side of the card I stuck pretty closely to Alice's original design. The label shape behind Jessamine was also intriguing because that isn't a shape that I use often at all. In fact I had to pull out my Slice die cutting machine to get a similar look to the one that Alice used... thank goodness for that Noteworthy design card! ;)

Alrighty then, Alice will be joining Nancy, Rachel and myself in the May Sweet November sneak peeks starting tomorrow! We've got some 'berry' cute new friends that I can't wait to introduce you all to! :)

Dance, dance, dance!

Good morning!
I hope that everyone enjoyed the weekend and are ready to greet this new week with a smile on their face. :)

If you are needing any help with that smile, maybe this card will do the trick... the bright cheery colors and happy look on Mae's little face sure make me grin. Today I am once again playing along with the Odd Girls as they focus on an individual stamp from the new release coming up on May 2nd each day this week. We are kicking previews off with Dancin' Mae and I get such a sense of joy from this image that it is hard not to dance right along side her for a bit! ;)
As I was digging through a bag of paper scraps, searching for the perfect background for Mae, I came across this crazy Sassafras paper. The vibe it created was just what I needed to help give this card an overall feel of euphoric happiness... ya know... that sense of being transported to a whole 'nother world where it is just you and the music... groovy! I think it works anyway! LOL :)

So be sure to head on over to the Some Odd Girl Blog everyday this week, April 25-30, to see Mae doin' her thang as well as all five of the other stamps as they are featured on their days. There are also many more chances to win, so don't miss out! All winners will be announced on release day, May 2nd, on the Some Odd Girl Blog.

You make me smile

Ahhhh... say hello to the weekend with me. Doesn't that feel good? ;)

So I was blog surfing the other day and came across some super cute fairy images that I just had to track down. My search finally led me to Deb's Creations, the home of the Emerald Faerie Garden. By now you've probably figured out that I'm quite partial to the wee fairy folk so it is no surprise that some of these cuties absolutely stole my heart. Now normally I would have gone for the rubber stamp versions but seeing as how these little guys would have to fly all the way from Australia I knew that I was just too impatient for that. It's times like this when I really appreciate having the digi option for instant gratification.

The first one to flitter onto one of my cards is Ebony. She actually comes hugging the stem of a large mushroom but I thought that by simply fussy cutting her out she could look like she is sitting on the ribbon, shyly smiling as the butterflies tickle her ears. I paired her with the Basic Grey Hello Luscious papers because they looked like a whimsical garden to me. And all of those colors in it were fun to try and match with my Copics when coloring Ebony up.
I'm also entering my card into this week's Flutter By challenge which is an open one. I'm sure that Ebony will be able to make a friend or two while hanging out there. ;)

Alrighty, I'll catch ya later my stampin' sistahs! :)

Hoppin' along with Some Odd Girl

Hey, hey, hey!

Welcome to the Some Odd Girl Blog Hop celebrating the very first stamp release! I am SO excited that Kristy asked me to join the fun during this special occasion. :)
If you've just happened upon my blog today and want to join in the hop then just start at the Some Odd Girl Blog and follow the hop list. And if you've arrived here from Kellie's blog then you're doing great!

There are six SOG images that have been turned into clear acrylic stamp sets, each one with it's own coordinating sentiment. Kristy asked us to choose our favorite from the release to create a card for the hop and though it was a difficult decision because they are all so cute, I finally settled on Love Letter Kaylee for mine.

She looks completely overjoyed to have gotten that bit of happy mail which is something I can relate to. When it came time to pick out some papers to go with Kaylee I looked to my stack of newly acquired papers and spotted this fun Hometown Summer line from Pink Paislee/Collage Press. As soon as I found the paper with all the little kids on it my card's 'story' totally popped into my head. So I cut out three of the little guys and now I had a little group of secret admirers all pining away for cutie Kaylee... I wonder which one actually sent her the love letter? ;)

Alrighty then, make sure to hop and comment on each participating blog, everyone who comments will be entered to win the complete set of six stamps from the May 2nd release! Also join us back at the Some Odd Girl Blog everyday next week, April 25-30, for more sneaks of all the stamps and many more chances to win! All winners will be announced on release day, May 2nd, on the Some Odd Girl Blog.

Now get your hop on and head on over to Zarah's blog and Stay Odd! :)

Think spring...

Good morning!

The day looks to be a sunny one but the temps aren't getting out of the low 50's so it is still a bit chilly here. That makes it perfect weather to get some serious card making done today. :)
And I did manage to get into all sorts of trouble yesterday, though I promise that it was the good kind of trouble. The kind that resulted in me getting my hands on some of the new Girls' Paperie lines that I have been searching for high and low! You see... I was waiting and waiting for the new papers to show up in my usual go-to online stores but when I asked if they were getting them in none of them were... gasp! So I made a little trip to a crafty store and totally lucked into the papers I was looking for... yeah! Needless to say, I couldn't wait to dive right in and put some of them to use. ;)

The Tickled Pink challenge this week is to think spring... colors that is... so I pulled out some of the Vintage Whimsy papers and border stickers and got to work. I think that the soft pastels are just ideal for this challenge. I paired them with one of my all time fave Lolitas, 20s Evie, as I always love how she looks all colored up. And I just realized that this isn't the first time that I've used her with some kind of bird image either... apparently I really like to put Evie outside enjoying nature, LOL!

We would love to have you play along and show us your spring colors for a chance at winning a great prize from the Tickled Pink store. Just be sure to use a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify, these include Lolitas, Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. Then link up your card or creation at the TP Challenge blog by next week. And good luck!

Okey dokey, I'm off to play with my stamps and paper for a bit. Have a good one! :)Supply list:

You make life fun

Hey there!

Can I just say that there was way less music than I expected on Glee last night, especially considering that the episode was about a concert fundraiser? Sure it was cool to see and hear Sunshine again but the whole whole hour seemed pretty light on the tunes... and on the male vocals. But at least we have 90 minutes to look forward to next week AND Kurt will be back at McKinley! Happy dance!

Ok, ok, that's enough Glee chatter for the moment... time to move on to my card for today. ;)
We have a new Wednesday Challenge up over at All That Scraps and it is to create your own flower accents. Punches, dies, rolled ribbon... whatever crafty way you can think of creating some special blossoms for your card or project, we want to see them! This was a great excuse for me to pull out my MFT rolled rose die once again and make a fun felt rose to match the MME papers I used. Yes, they are Stella & Rose scraps for the second time this week but you are just going to have to humor me... at least until I can get my hands on the NEW My Mind's Eye Lime Twist mini paper pads that are due to release soon, woot woot!

I also used another of the Sweet November Zodiac girls stamps in a non-zodiac way. This one was easy because all I had to do was snip off Gemini's necklace and it easily became to friends hanging out together having fun. I was in a bit of a rush to get this colored up so I feel like I could have done a bit better on their hair but other than that I'm pretty happy with how this came out. :)

Alrighty, if you would like to play along for the prize this week just remember that in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Later gators!

Bingo!

Happy Glee day everyone! Gosh does it feel good to finally be able to say that once again, LOL! I am SO looking forward to tonight's episode with the fundraiser concert and Sue and her Sue-pervillains... I anticipate many great new songs to add to my ipod soon. ;) Ok, now that I've gotten that excitement out of my system I can chat about today's card a bit... I made time to play along in the Kraftin Kimmie challenge this week because I really loved the Bingo card concept. They've created a template that has a different embellishment in each square, rather than numbers, and you get to choose which row of three that you want to add to your card. I chose to go with the top row of flowers, buttons and bling for my three elements though I think I could technically have the middle row covered as well with glitter (do Copic Spica glitter pens count?), lace/ribbon/twine and KK accessory stamp (sentiment). Sheesh, if I had been more on the ball I could have gone for a full blackout! :) For my main image I went with the berry sweet Stella Strawberry because I really wanted to use this funky strawberry paper that I kept flipping past in the Sweet Nectar paper pad. I think the teal background adds a shot of the unexpected to the whole berry theme of the card which is kinda cool. And dont'cha think Stella looks kinda like a little Bavarian beauty... which brings to mind Bavarian cream, then add some juicy strawberries to that, mmmmmm... pastries... drool... I SO need to go eat breakfast, I don't think that it's a good sign when your stamps start making you hungry! ;) Alrighty, today I head off to work but then I will be enjoying a couple days off afterwards... it will be fun to see what kind of trouble I can get myself into then. LOL Toodles! Blue Monday

No, I'm not sad... on the contrary, I'm feeling pretty good this morning. Even if it is a Monday... ;) I've just got a very blue card to share and true blues aren't a color that I use a whole lot of... especially when coloring. But something about this little pixie was just calling out for it. So I grabbed up these Twig papers because not only is there a lot of blue in them but they also have a very woodsy/natural vibe that I liked for her. And yeah for pulling out the Cuttlebug! I so don't utilize it enough but it always adds such a cool touch to a card. All in all I think this card was just an excuse to use some of my more neglected tools, papers and colors. LOL Okey dokey, it's hair and makeup time once again... have a good one my friends! Supply list: cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It paper- Little Yellow Bicycle (Twig) stamps- Stamping Bella (Pixie set), Hero Arts (sentiment) ink- Memento tuxedo black and Colorbox dark brown Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing plate Fiskars border punch Making Memories flower button twine ribbon Jenni Bowlin stick pin Little Yellow Bicycle leaf stick pin Sharpie white marker Copic markers: skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20 hair- E74, E77, E79, E49 clothes- B34, B37, B39, BG000, 0

Simple Sunday

Hello friends! Things have been busy around the ol' casa de Amy these past few days so I didn't have much time to make a card last night. Though it did dawn on me that Easter is just a week away... holy smokes when did that happen?! So I decided to revisit my Simple Sunday idea and make an Easter card in under half an hour. This Pure Innocence One Sweet Chick stamp set was the perfect way to go because these little PI gals are super quick to color up... especially when I paper pieced her dress as well. Heck, it was coming together so fast that I took a minute to even add a ribbon sash around her waist, ooh lala! ;) I also made a dent in the little pile of Stella & Rose scraps that have been sitting on my desk which saved me from having to dig through the paper stash and saved time. The over-all design may not be re-inventing the wheel or anything but I think it makes for a sweet card. Alrighty then, I've got another long day ahead of me so I should get moving... TTFN! Supply list: cardstock- Bazzill and PTI paper- My Mind's Eye (Stella & Rose) stamps- My Favorite Things (One Sweet Chick and sentiment) ink- Memento tuxedo black and Colorbox creamy brown ribbon Kaiser Craft gems and pearls Prima flowers Copic markers: skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20 hair- E35, E57, E59 clothes- R22, R43, R0000, R000, R00, 0, BG000, G0000, YG93, YG95 egg/chicks- E40, E41, 0, Y11, Y21, Y35, YR04

I've got a play date...

with the Play Date Cafe challenge! Hi friends! So over on the TGF blog I saw that they are sponsoring the Play Date Cafe challenge this week and this was a new one to me. But as soon as I saw that it was a color combo challenge I knew that I wanted to play along, 'cause those are always a lot of fun! Their color story is green, white and a neutral... not as much color as I usually go for so that made it a real challenge and another way to shake things up a bit. Creeper Syren was singing her siren call to me and convinced me that this was just the card for her to live on and I was powerless to say no. ;) Isn't she a beauty? I fell in love with this little Creeper as soon as I laid eyes on her and I totally hope that she is just the first in a whole school of these finned Creeper gals (insert puppy dog eyes for Marie and Jess right here, LOL!) I colored her up in shades of green to go along with the challenge and even added a green pearl scepter for her to rule her undersea kingdom with. The rest is just a sheet of pattern paper that I stamped the bubbles, sentiment and sea horses onto. I think it makes for a pretty cool kelpy seabed home for miss Syren. All in all this was a fantastic challenge and I will definitely try to make time to join the PDCC fun again in future challenges. :) Toodles! Supply list: cardstock- Bazzill and PTI paper- BoBunny stamps- The Greeting Farm (Creeper Syren), Kraftin' Kimmie (seahorse, bubbles and shell), Inkadinkado (sentiment) Maya Road pearl stick pin Kaiser Craft pearls Prima crochet lace Copic Spica glitter pens Copic markers: skin- E0000, E000, E00, R00, R20, B00, YG11 hair- YG0000, YG00, YG01, YG06, YG03, YG07, YG09, 0 tail- YG21, YG13, YG23, G05, G07, G09, G29 everything else- E81, E87, E40, RV000, BG000

Flutter by fun

TGIF my fellow stampers! I hope you have lots of fun crafty plans for this weekend. I'll be working but I still plan to get my stampin' on sometime in the evenings... so much to get ready for in the next couple weeks, what with new releases already sneaking up on us! I really can't wait to share all the cuteness with ya! :) In the meantime I'll enjoy playing along in a challenge or two... like my card today. Flutter By has a soft pastel color challenge going on this week and I had this new Peachy Pixie stamp by Christy Croll for Stamping Bella that looks super adorable in all those soft, pretty colors. I LOVE that Seuss-like branch she is sitting on so I decided to stamp parts of it up a couple more times to really fill out the crazy tree Peachy is resting in. I kept the over-all design fairly simple because I was so happy with how the scene turned out that I didn't want to take the focus off of it. A few pearls and butterflies was all this card needed in order to look finished and I really ♥ the end result. :) Ok, time for me to flitter off and get ready for the day... hugs! Supply list: cardstock- Bazzill and PTI paper- Basic Grey (green), K&Co (yellow) stamps- Stamping Bella (Peachy Pixie), Hero Arts (sentiment) ink- Memento tuxedo black, Ranger tumbled glass distress and Colorbox creamy brown Martha Stewart butterfly punch Kasier Craft and Zva pearls Copic markers: skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20 hair- RV00, RV10, RV11 everything else- YG0000, YG00, YG01, G20, G40, E30, E31, E34, G0000, G00

Thank you for being you

Hello, hello! Tickled Pink is back with a sketch challenge this week and I gotta say that it was a great way to shake things up a bit for me. I don't usually place elements at a wonky angle on my cards so this felt like a refreshing change of pace. And it had been a while since I'd shown Mod Ivy some inky love so I stamped her up and paired her with some fresh and girly colored papers... boy is she fun to color! :) We would love to have you play along and get sketchy with us for a chance at winning two Tickled Pink rubber stamps from the Tickled Pink store. Just be sure to use a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify, these include Lolitas, Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. Then link up your card or creation at the TP Challenge blog by next week. And good luck! Well, I'm off to work so I'll catch y'all later! You make me happy

Howdy all! I'm still experiencing technical difficulties with blogger running all of my sentences together so until I can figure out how to fix it I do apologize if my posts are kinda difficult to read. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... Wednesday means it is ATS challenge day and this week the challenge is to either create a watering can out of paper or to use a watering can image on your card. Because of my lack of paper crafting abilities I opted to use the watering can from the Swiss Pixies Spring set on my card. I then paired it up with Bathing Beauty Emma whom I altered into a little garden looking cutie. I just wiped away most of the decorations on her bathing cap, the bottom of her bikini top and the line of her swim shorts before stamping. Then I drew in the brim of her new hat, the sleeves on her shirt and the the cuff of her new shorts. I just totally adore Emma's sitting pose in this image and have altered her once before... hopefully Christine will make a new stamp or two in a similar pose sometime soon. Fingers crossed hint, hint, wink, wink! ;) Ok, so if you want to play along don't forget that every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please. TTFN!
