All I want for Christmas...

Good morning!
I'm having one of those really good mornings where it just feels like I got up on the right side of the bed and it's going to be a wonderful day. Considering I'm not much of a morning person, I'll take this feeling and roll with it. :)
And how about I spread some of these good feelings and announce the winner of this past week's Sweet November Mistletoe Snowhill candy? Random Generator has done its magic and our winner is.............................

crafty amy!

Congratulations Amy! Email me with you mailing addy and I will get your goodies off to you tomorrow!

Now don't forget that tomorrow I will be posting an all new Sweet November candy kit featuring the second December fairy, Holly Starshine. You won't want to miss out on a chance to win this one! :)

Ok, now for today's card... are you tired of seeing Christmas cards from me yet? LOL
Well, I'm still going strong with them and I even made this one work for Marlene's sketch over at the Sugar Bowl challenge. She also wanted to see you use zigzags in some form so I added rub-on zigzag stitching across the middle of the card. Once again I put my packaging to use with the paper strips coming from the cover of a My Mind's Eye paper pack and I also altered the Gorjuss Girl just a bit by drawing in long sleeves on her dress. And I was feeling super brave so I went a head and hand wrote the sentiment... I NEVER do that! LOL

Ok, I'm off like a rocket... see y'all tomorrow! :)

Let it snow...

let it snow, let it snow... but not really! LOL

Welcome to the weekend friends! I am making some time to stamp today and I hope you get to enjoy the same. :)
Today's card is for the Club Anya Mystery Monday challenge hosted by Kris which is to create something 'icy looking'. As I've mentioned before, I'm not a big fan of the white stuff but the cool, crisp color palette sure does make for some pretty cards so I was all for playing along. ;)
I was also totally inspired by Suzi's card that she created for this same challenge and her idea to make an Ice Queen, which was brilliant! So I just had to do my take on it because I loved it so much. Thanks Suzi!
For my version I altered a Dressy Miss Anya by wiping away the bows in her hair, the bottom part of her short dress and her legs then I drew in the long gown and added long sleeves and her scepter as well. It's hard to tell in the photo but I added a lot of sparkle and texture to her with clear Copic Spica pen on her hair and the lightest parts of her dress with white flocking on the trim. Even the light blue background paper that I punched the border from has a cool sheen to it. So this is just one of those cards that is always going to look better in person, sigh. Oh well, I'm still really happy with how it turned out and loved the challenge. :)
Thanks for stopping by!Supply list:
cardstock- Georgia Pacific
paper- unknown (shimmery blue) Fancy Pants (snowflake)

So good to be back

Hello, hello!

Gosh, I can't even tell you how glad I am to have a working computer again. It felt so weird not posting here or getting a chance to cruise around and see what you all have been up to these past few days. Thank goodness I have a couple days off to get caught up on everything! :)
Thanks for bearing with me through this little hiccup and for all the advice... I'm already making sure to back up my digis on an external hard drive now, live and learn right?

So, it's the big Black Friday... anyone out there participating in the crazy early hours of shopping? Not me. I don't do well in crowds and can't stand the stress of it all. Thank goodness for internet shopping! Speaking of which, don't forget that All That Scraps is having a one day only, 25% off everything in the store sale today, which includes the new December stamps release!

Which also reminds me... if you would like a chance to win Mistletoe Snowhill and the rest of my candy, you still have until Saturday night to post here and get in on the fun! :)

Alrighty then, on to today's card and can you believe it's another one without any pattern paper? Craziness I know but I had a lot of fun coloring. I used the CC Designs Sugarplums Snowy Scene stamp set to create the background and then I altered Sugarplums Cow Emma just a bit so that instead of the cow costume she now now wears a cozy snowsuit to hang lights in. All in all this card was a nice change up from my usual cards and you just gotta throw a few of those into the mix every once in a while to keep things fresh, don'tcha think? ;)
TTYL!

A quick update

Hi gals!

The computer is still down (boo!) and I'm still posting from work but I just wanted to make sure you all saw the December Fairy Sweet preview over at the ATS blog... just leave a post on it this week for a chance to win both Mistletoe Snowhill and Holly Starshine! Pretty sweet huh? ;)

TTFN!

CRASH!

Did you hear that?
Yep, that was the sound of my computer crashing... HARD. :(

I'm pre-posting this on the computer at work so you all will know what's going on since I can't upload pics right now. Grrrr, arrrrrrrgh!

I spent the better part of the day on the phone with the tech people at Dell and the conclusion was there must have been some sort of power surge that fried the hard drive, it's a rare occurrence I'm told... lucky me... (huge eyeroll inserted here). So all I can do now is wait for the replacement to be delivered, which supposedly should be today or tomorrow.

And even though not being able to post here sucks, the absolute worst part is that I lost all my digi stamps... including the seven new exclusive TGF sprouts that I hadn't even gotten a chance to print out yet! I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried a little over that one. sigh, sniff sniff... :(
It's times like these that reinforce why I am a rubber girl at heart.

So anywho, if you don't see me around much the next few days, you know why and please keep posting for a chance to win this week's candy on the post below. Hopefully I'll be up and running again before I know it... fingers crossed!

Oh and I quick update on the December All That Scraps release... it looks like they will be available for purchase Nov. 30th rather than Dec. 7th. PLUS there is a juicy day-after Thanksgiving sale. Here's the deets I borrowed from their newsletter:

After Thanksgiving Sale- Starting Friday November 27th at 12:00am est till Friday November 27th at 11:59pm est every item thoughtout the store will be 25% off. The discounts will already be taken on all products, no need to enter any codes.

Also we will have a one day quick release of the newest stamps, they will be included in the sale. They will listed on Friday for the sale and then taken off the site until the official release date of November 30th.

Pretty cool huh? Ok, talk to ya later! :)

Is there anything sweeter...

than some Christmas candy? Mmmmmm... I can't think of much! LOL
So this week I'm going to have some of my own Christmas blog candy up for grabs in celebration of the December, Sweet November release over at All That Scraps that is coming up on the 7th.

The first of the two new Fairy Sweets is Mistletoe Snowhill. She's the little imp that hangs mistletoe strategically overhead in hopes of causing a smooch or two between unsuspecting holiday revelers. Can't you just hear her giggling from the rafters? Yea, me too. ;)
Just like the last release she will be available both in rubber and digi form but this week is your chance to win her before you can buy her! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and link back to the give-away on your blog if you can.
So I bet you wanna see what I've put together for this week's winner... well check it out and let me know if you like what you see. :)

So of course you get a rubber stamp of Mistletoe Snowhill as well as six sheets of 6x6 K&Co Peppermint Twist paper, KI Memories ribbon spools, Making Memories flowers, Prima pearls and gems, Basic Grey clear December mini stamp set, some Shabby Green Door twine, misc buttons, four card blanks with envelopes and my card.

A sweet sneak peek

Happy Sunday my friends!

Thank you all SO MUCH for all the birthday well wishes yesterday... you are too sweet to me and really know how to make a girl smile! :)

I had an amazing day out, it was cold but the weather was perfect for traveling... no snow or fog or anything. I got to go to a Michael's craft store since we don't have any near home but sadly I didn't find much there. My clothes shopping went much better though, lots of cute new sweaters and tops for this winter and most were even on sale! Gotta love that!
So as I was listening to the radio on the way over one of the stations is already playing Christmas music, which is always fun to sing along to (yes, I'm a car singer... my poor sisters LOL). Then when we got out of range we decided to pop in my Glee soundtrack (more singing ensued) but it also got me to thinking... wouldn't it be AWESOME if Glee did a Christmas episode? I so bad want to hear what they would do to 'Baby it's cold outside' and other fun Christmas tunes now. Sigh, a girl can hope... ;)

Anywho, onto why you're stopping by today... and I've got something really fun to share! Meet the two newest additions to the Fairy Sweet family, Holly Starshine and Mistletoe Snowhill. These little lovelies are my December release over at All That Scraps and they will go up for sale the first Monday in December, which I believe is the 7th. And of course I will be celebrating early with some more blog candy giveaways. So be sure to check back tomorrow to see which one of these festive gals will be up for grabs first. :)

They say it's your birthday

Good morning!
As I've mentioned, today is my birthday. Yep I'm turning the big 3-Oh no you di'int think I was really going there! LOL ;)
I'm really excited to spend the day out shopping with my sisters in Spokane. It's going to be a long drive but worth it once we get over there and it feels like such a splurge! Hopefully I find some nice things to treat myself to besides the couple new winter shirts and such that I need to get. Though even if I don't it will be great just breaking my routine and getting away for a day.

So really quick, here's today's card. I used another Gorjuss Girl stamp and altered her just a bit to get rid of the weird rope thingy that hung around her neck. Then I added the Hero Arts ornament stamp hanging from her hand to make her fit my Christmas theme. Not too many more and I will have all the Christmas cards I need done for this year... yeah!
Okey dokey, I'm outta here!

Oh and I won't be back til late tonight so don't be surprised if I have another late post tomorrow... ;)

Finally Friday

Yes, I'm late posting again but today I'm not sorry at all... it's my day off, I slept in, had a nice hot breakfast and it was goooooooooooooooood! LOL

But I'm here now and ready to chat it up a bit. :)
If you've been over to the Club Anya blog today you've already seen this card and my little 'eye opening' tutorial. I hope you are enjoying these show & tells as much as I'm enjoying sharing them. I know I keep saying that most of the altering I do isn't that difficult to do but I think when I can actually let you see it you can really believe it.
So I gave Angel Anya some brand new open Lolli eyes and mouth for a fresh new look on this Christmas card. Rather than looking serene and peaceful I wanted her to be more joyous and I think I got the look I was after. :)
This card also fits for this week's Anyone for Anya challenge which is a round theme. Between the circle shape of the card, the polka dot paper and all the little gems... I think I may have gone a bit over board! LOL But I really wanted to make a card that looked like an ornament so this was the perfect challenge.
Anywho, I'm looking forward to spending some time in the craft room today and then hitting the road tomorrow with both of my sisters for a girl's day birthday outing. I even get to pick where we eat so I'm already salivating for my fave Chinese place and some walnut shrimp.... mmmmmmmmm... but I promise I'll have something to share before I leave tomorrow and I won't leave ya hangin' like today. ;)
Enjoy your weekend and I hope all my Twi-hard friends out there are enjoying the new movie! :)Supply list:

Just one more day

After a jam-packed busy, busy, busy past few weeks I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Today is my last day of work this week and then I go into a nice long weekend... that means I actually have my birthday off this year and I think I may be going on a bit of a shopping trip with my sis to celebrate... yeah! :)
Ok fellow Gleeks (Amy aren't you glad you're one of us now? LOL), I just gotta say it... last night's episode immediately went into my top three faves. I think the football episode was the only one I laughed harder at! All the inner monologues were just hilarious and again that cutie Kurt had me in stitches. Sigh... I love this show. "Don't stand. Don't stand so close to me!" :)

And finally, today is the big release day for the new Fairy digis over at The Greeting Farm! I have been having so much fun with these gals and Marie is even taking an unofficial poll over at The Greeting Farm blog to see which two should possibly be made into rubber. I'm sorry but I had to tell her we need all four in rubber... don't you agree? wink, wink
Seriously... how can you only have two seasons? It goes against mother nature I tell ya! :)

Alrighty, I'm audi!
There is a sentiment on the inside of the card that reads: Thankful for a friend like you all the year through.

Another Flutter By challenge

Hello! I'm so sorry my post is later than usual... let's just say that me and my dial-up have not been the best of friends this morning. Ugh
Anywho, it's working now so I'm gonna be quick just in case... fingers crossed, here we go...

Alrighty today I have one of Marie's gorgeous new digi fairies to share with you. By now I'm sure you have picked up that I have a soft spot for all things 'of the fay' and these four new beauties do not disappoint! In fact the only thing that would make them better would be if we get to see them in rubber eventually... BUT for now I am more than content with the digi versions. :)
I used Summer and had a lot of fun coloring her up as I took definite creative license with what colors a fairy's skin and hair could be. In this case, light green and two-toned to match her flower... fun, fun, fun! And wouldn't you know that she works for the new Flutter By challenge today?! Woohoo! Not only do I have a fairy but butterflies too... score! Ya gotta love it when that happens!

So if you are diggin' these new fairies as much as I am be sure to check out The Greeting Farm tomorrow when they go up for sale! :)
Later gators!

So proud of myself

Hello! I hope all is well for you on this fine Tuesday... I'm feeling really good and everything seems to be getting back on track, which is great.
Heck, I even found time to make a card for not one but two challenges! I know, I know... that really isn't much as far as combining challenges go (ahem, Victoria) BUT it is my first time combing any so I'm pretty happy with it. ;) I made this card work for the Flutter By challenge to have a 'Thankful' theme and the Quixotic challenge to add stitching. I hand stitched all wonky like on purpose 'cause I thought it looked very fairy-ish. The sepia toned coloring of the fairies was inspired by Christine's cards that she had in the All That Scraps newsletter a few weeks back... I thought it was pretty cool looking and had to try it myself. :)
I added Spica glitter pens to both fairies hair and I think I did a bit better job photographing it this time but the sparkle still looks way cooler in person. ;)
Alrighty, time to go get ready for work... again. Check ya later!

Pattern me not

Well hello my lovelies! Can I just say that I feel completely recharged today and ready to take on another crazy week... I think it was finally getting to watch my beloved Glee that did it for me. ;)
So raise your hand if you absolutely adore Kurt. I do! I do! LOL For me it started with the football game episode (an instant classic in my opinion) and was totally cemented when he sang Defying Gravity... sigh. I really hope this show has a very long and successful run. :)

Now, onto other fun things. This week's Mystery Monday challenge over at Club Anya was issued by Rachel and she really threw me a curve ball with this one... absolutely no using pattern paper of any kind, you couldn't even stamp your own patterned background! Gasp! I know, I know, I was at a loss too, was it even possible? ;) Well, not being one to back down from a challenge, especially when I've been called out by name, I decided to apply my 'using pattern paper scraps' personal challenge to using up some of my cardstock scraps this time. With my trusty Slice die-cutter in hand I went about cutting out some snowflakes... can I help it if they kinda created a pattern once I glued them down? heeheehee ;) Everything on here is cardstock Rachel, I swear!
And did you see? Did you see? Yep, that's the super duper elusive Elf Anya that the fabulous duo of Erin and Kristina so kindly provided me images of to play with! I LOVE her and will continue to beg and plead for Marie to re-release her so that I can have my very own rubber version of her someday. Ahhhh a girl can dream...

One more thing before I head off to work today, I haven't heard back from the winner of my last Sweet November blog candy yet and I would really like to give it a home SO... if I don't hear from the winner by next Saturday I will be drawing a new winner and announcing her that day. Hopefully we can find Tangle a nice place that isn't cluttering up my ever messy table. ;)
Take care!

Definitely time for some 'me time'

OMGosh... can I just say thank goodness it's Friday and my day off from work. It has been one of those weeks where I feel like I've been constantly on the run, never getting a chance to stop and catch my breath. I should take a cue from the brand spankin' new Me Time Anya and have a little spa day (yea Amy, keep wishin' on that one). ;)
So here we are at the final sneak peek of this month's uber fabulous release of Anyas over at The Greeting Farm. All of the stamps will be available on Sunday the 15th, which is not too far off now! Me Time Anya is a whole set of stamps in the super cute new "mini Anya" size (like the Signature set from last month) that I am absolutely lovin' and hope to continue seeing more of in the future. There are two Anyas, some sentiments and little accessories like the candles and slippers. Heck, I loved the little slippers so much that I had to let them shine all on their own (even added some flocking so they are nice and fuzzy). ;)
Doesn't this just make you want to take a nice long soak in the tub? Yea, me too... :)
If you haven't yet been, be sure to head over to the Club Anya blog and see all the other bathing beauties my fellow CADT have to share with us... they are AMAZING! And be sure to mark your calendars for the Spa Hop this Sunday, totally inspired by today's cutie! There will be prizes to celebrate the big release day so make some time to pamper yourself a little and join the fun!

Oh! I almost forgot to mention one last, yet totally awesome new set that will be available on Sunday as well. It's the Anya Says sentiment set and as you can see there is the perfect saying for all your sweet Anya stamps. And the best part? It is only $10! Look closely, notice how the "Keep Rockin" sentiment is on there twice? Well because of that little boo-boo you can get these for a great deal. :)
Ok, so I know I promised I would chat it up about Glee but I have a confession... I haven't actually been able to watch it yet! Tragic I know, but I did tape it since I was so busy and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to relax and enjoy my special Glee time. :)
Catch ya later!

Lolli, lolli, lolli...

get your adverbs here... oh wait, wrong Lolli (though you can't beat a classic like School House Rock) ;)

Good morning my friends! Ready for the fourth installment to our Club Anya sneak peeks?
Meet Lolli Anya! This little darling is such a sweetheart... LOL sorry, just couldn't help myself. :)
Doesn't she look like a total girly girl, all sugar with just a hint of spice? Personally, I love her 'smiley' eyes... they just make me happy. In fact I'm pretty sure I had a smile on my face the entire time I was coloring little Lolli. There's just something about her, the girl has got that 'it' factor. LOL

Be sure to head on over to the Club Anya blog and check out all the eye candy from my fellow CADT gals... but be careful you don't get a cavity from all that sugar! ;)

Ok, I've really got to get going. It's been a crazy busy week at work... but I promise to talk a bit about Glee tomorrow. Take care! :)

She's gonna rouge her knees...

roll her stockings down... and all that jazz!!! Gasp! Oh behave Anya! LOL

Well, if you couldn't tell, we are rip roarin' right into day 3 of our sneak peek week at Club Anya and isn't she just a complete doll?! :)
Flapper Anya is part of the 'Anya through the decades' series so she is a limited run and once she's gone she's gone for good so you won't want to miss out. As soon as I saw her, the musical 'Chicago' came to mind and I just had to go where the inspiration took me. :)
Be sure to head over to the Club Anya blog to see what the rest of the CADT have created with this cutie... it looks like the gin joints a hoppin' with all these dancing Anyas over there! ;)

Oh and speaking of musical goodness... GLEE is back tonight! Yea baby! I am so stinkin' excited it's not even funny! And I know I'm not the only Gleek out there that feels the same way, LOL!

See you tomorrow, same bat time... same bat channel. :)

Falling for you

Hello and good morning!

Here we are at day 2 of our week of peeks over at the Club Anya blog and let me tell you, this one is very near and dear to me. For months I have been pestering, begging and pleading for a Fall Miss Anya as an add-on to the Rain, Snow & Shine set... not just because I'm a fall kind of gal myself but because there is something in me that can't rest until I have a complete set, so I needed that fourth season represented. ;) Imagine my utter joy when I was emailed not only a Fall Miss Anya but a cutie My Guy too... can you stand it?! Now, they are only available in digital form at the moment but don't be surprised if you see these two in rubbah sometime in the new year... yeah! But that's getting ahead of things... I'm just happy I have the digis to tide me over until then because I think they are both perfect. :)

So if you love them as much as I do be sure to to post a comment on the Club Anya blog today and you just might win the cute couple... I know you want them... how can you resist? ;)

Oh and be sure to mark your calendars for this Sunday. We will be having a fun "Spa Hop" to celebrate the release with chances to win prizes at each CADT member's blog. You won't want to miss out on the fun! :)

Double oh, just so there isn't any confusion I did slightly alter My Guy by cutting off one of his arms and drawing in a new one to wrap around Anya's waist.... awwwwwww. Ok, I've really got to get ready for work now.
Catch ya again tomorrow with more Anya fun. :)
